- Applicable anti-money laundering obligations under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001
The Firm reserves the right to decline any instruction at its discretion, including where a conflict of interest is identified, where the instruction falls outside the Firm's areas of practice, or where there is insufficient information to assess the matter.
5. User Responsibilities

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
- Fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR)
- Payment terms and methods will be stated in the engagement letter
- The Firm may require a deposit or retainer prior to commencing work
- Disbursements (third-party costs) are charged at cost in addition to professional fees
Refund or termination arrangements, if applicable, will be addressed in the individual engagement agreement.
8. Disclaimers
The Website and its content are provided on an "as is" basis. To the extent permitted by law, the Firm makes no warranties or representations, express or implied, regarding:

The Firm's liability in connection with a legal services engagement, where liability arises, shall be limited to the amount of fees paid by the client in connection with the specific matter giving rise to the claim, unless a different limit is agreed in writing in the engagement documentation.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold the Firm harmless from any claims, losses, or costs (including legal costs) arising from your use of the Website in breach of these Terms, or from any inaccurate or misleading information you provide in connection with an enquiry or engagement.
11. Termination of Engagement
Either party may terminate a legal services engagement in accordance with the terms set out in the engagement letter. Upon termination:
- The client remains responsible for fees incurred up to the date of termination
- The Firm will provide the client with a reasonable opportunity to transfer the matter to alternative representation
- The Firm's professional obligations of confidentiality continue after termination
The Firm reserves the right to cease acting for a client in circumstances permitted under the Bar Council's Rules on Professional Conduct.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute arising from them or from your use of the Website, are governed by and construed in accordance with the Laws of Malaysia.
Disputes arising in connection with these Terms or with an engagement shall first be referred to informal resolution between the parties. If informal resolution does not succeed within 30 days, the matter may be referred to the courts of Malaysia, or, where agreed in writing between the parties, to the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) for arbitration in accordance with its rules.
13. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with any engagement letter, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Firm in relation to the matters covered.
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
- Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce it in future.
- Assignment: You may not assign any rights or obligations under these Terms without the Firm's written consent.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We recommend checking this page periodically.
